Rainbows sleepover

On 9th October we took 15 Rainbows for  the second sleepover of the year; this time to Lillenhall. The theme was Alice in Wonderland, On the first day they made placemats, white rabbit and duck masks, and had a story time and a quiz.

The next morning, thanks to Don and Mrs. Griffin, we began with a full breakfast, before our coach trip to Umberslade farm. Our tour guide, Emily, let us feed ducks, goats, chickens and  to bottle feed  baby calves. We held chicks, guinea pigs and rabbits; and we had pony, and tractor and trailer rides. Add to all that a picnic lunch and using the new play area!

The girls we took away were mostly the new Rainbows who only started in September, so this was a wonderful opportunity to get to know them better – which can be difficult in a group of 23. They all had a wonderful time, and we look forward to our next sleepover, probably in April next year.
