Christmas
Christmas time is drawing near
For most it’s a time of happiness and cheer
When we all give out presents to the ones that we love
And all sing carols to the heavens above.
We sing of the joy of this special day
Of a child born in a manger of hay
We go rushing about to get things done
And hope on the day to have lots of fun.
But there are often forgotten, lonely and cold
They sit in their room full of silence and gloom
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we all spent more time
And offered the hand of friendship at this time.
So if you know someone who lives on their own
Welcome them into your loving home
Let the joy of Christmas live in this land
Then love and happiness will go hand in hand.
