In an attempt to raise money for two charities, Guy Ashworth, our Group Scout Leader, is participating in a night-time 100 km (62½ miles) cycle ride round London at night on the weekend of June 11th and 12th. |
The first charity is St Basil’s (www.stbasils.org.uk) which works to prevent youth homelessness in Birmingham and the wider West Midlands . It does brilliant work and Guy is proud to have been associated with it for a number of years.
The other is a small summer play scheme for disabled children in the Warwick area, called Double R (registered charity number 1088059). It needs to raise about £50,000 a year just to keep going.
