Prayer letter May 2010
Dear friends,
This has been a hard month again and a difficult year so far; because of the extremely cold winter 4 of our clients have died.
A man named Chris we have known for 18 years, and for whom many of you have prayed, died this week aged 41, destroyed by his dependency on glue and alcohol. He begged outside Tesco. All his adult life he lived on the street in car parks, shop doorways and even in a field, the snow and ice thick on his blanket. We did provide a tent to keep off some of the snow and biting wind. We had taken him to the housing office, but he was put disastrously in an old people’s complex, and was soon on the streets again.
Chris had chosen to live his life this way, but we can only see what a waste it was. We have to remind ourselves that God loves us even when we make the wrong choices. Please pray for people like Chris, and for us as we try to show them that love of God .
Yours in His Service.
Steph and Geoff Devlin
