Eva May – an Update

Eva celebrated her first-birthday on April 13th – quite a milestone. She had survived two open-heart operations, rhythm problems, endless medication and only a  66% chance of living  for a year. We are so grateful for all the prayer and other support during this time from our family, and all friends at St. Mark’s

As a family we celebrated her Christening (Ellie, Tina Gibbs and Barry are such brilliant godparents); we enjoyed her first Christmas, seeing her happiness as her big brother helped her open her presents; and being able to take her on holiday.

She is now going from strength to strength. All her medication has been stopped!. All rhythm problems have been resolved. And now at 18 months her development has amazingly reached all the “goals” including walking. Her appointments at Birmingham are now only 6-monthly, as her cardiac condition shows no sign of deterioration, and is  not affecting her everyday life.   Unless the situation changes, the next hurdle will be surgery when she is 4 years old.

After my divorce last year we are now living in Rugby, with a new very supportive partner . Thank you for your continuing prayer support, as God gives the strength to continue supporting Eva and Alfie, watching  them grow in confidence.
