We are extremely grateful for the very generous gift from St Mark’s for our ongoing work in East Pokot.
After much thought and prayer we have decided that the whole amount [£1000] should go to Berea Theological College [Anglican Church of Kenya] where the East Pokot Evangelists, Petero, Laban and Abraham, have been trained for the Ministry. The Principal, Ven. Shadrack Mwangangi, with whom we are in constant contact, has identified a number of urgent needs. He is a man of Godly vision in a strategic position, training able young people and grounding them in the Word of God, and we feel he should have this support.
We will transfer this gift to Shadrack as soon as possible and will keep you informed of the purposes for which it is to be used.
Our farewell was a memorable occasion and we thank all who made it such a wonderful day, including the Very Special ‘Presidential-style’ Lunch. ASANTE SANA !
Please continue to pray for East Pokot; for the struggling Christians, For Ven Christopher and Nellie, the Rescue girls, the little Church at Chepkalacha and their outreach through the Water Project, for the Patients, especially those with ongoing needs for medicines, for Nurse Anitonietta, Justus and his leadership in Community Development, and for the Evangelists travelling long distances on foot, trying to support Christopher and his Ministry of the Gospel of Christ in his 20,000 sq. mile Parish. Pray especially for the many, many people in the remote Northern areas of Kenya and beyond who have not yet even heard the Name of Jesus.
